What an incredible day of literary battles and bookish brilliance! ✨📚 We just wrapped up our Regional America's Battle of the Books competition last Thursday, and let me tell you—it was a showdown for the ages! Teams from five different schools put their reading skills to the ultimate test, answering questions, recalling details, and proving just how powerful a love of reading can be. 🥇 FIRST PLACE – Titans of Text from Pembina County Homeschool Group! These literary warriors read, strategized, and conquered their way to the top spot! 🥈 SECOND PLACE – Chapter SMACKers from Park River Area! They kept us on the edge of our seats with their knowledge and teamwork. 🥉 THIRD PLACE – Final Chapter from Park River Area! They turned the last page on an amazing competition and landed a well-earned place on the podium! A HUGE round of applause to all the teams from Cavalier Public School, Valley-Edinburg Public School, Grafton Public School, Pembina County Homeschool Group, and Park River Area School—every single competitor gave it their all, and we couldn't be prouder! 📖👏 This was no easy feat for the five incredible students who read ALL 20 BOOKS! Congrats to the Park River Speech Team for taking 1st at the Hatton Northwood Tournament today! A special congrats to those who prequalified for the state competition! Gavin in Impromptu Tanner in Storytelling Gavin and Tanner in Serious Duo Alexis in Entertain Clara in Persuade Clara and Bailee in Humorous Duo PLUS both Tanner and Clara had a perfect day! They got the top score in all 6 of their performances today! Not an easy feat!

The 2025 District 3 Boys Basketball Tournament will be played in Park River. The official tournament bracket has been finalized. The Aggies boys basketball team will play their last regular season game on the road. Their opponent will be the St. John Woodchucks. This game does have tournament seeding implications.
