Let’s meet the dynamic duo leading our PE program: 🔹 Mr. Brett Omdahl teaches PE for grades K-1, 3-4, and 6 while also serving as Athletic Director and Coach. With strong leadership and organizational skills, Mr. Omdahl seamlessly transitions students through activities, creating a structured and safe environment that minimizes downtime and maximizes movement. His patience and creativity help our youngest learners build confidence and fundamental motor skills. 🔹 Mr. Josh Lee teaches grades 2, 5, and high school PE classes. He starts the day early with Zero Period Weights, helping student-athletes develop strength and discipline. In the summer, he dedicates his time to teaching Driver’s Education, ensuring students are not just physically active but also prepared for real-world responsibilities. His flexibility allows him to adapt lessons to different skill levels, and his leadership motivates students to push their limits. 🌟 What Makes Our PE Teachers Great? High School Academic Olympics kicked off their season yesterday in Central Valley. The JV team put up a strong fight, narrowly missing the lightning round after a tough tie-breaker question. Our incredible school counselors work every day to support students academically, socially, and emotionally, ensuring they have the tools to thrive. 👩‍🏫 Miss Haley Ulland serves as our High School Counselor, guiding students through academic planning, career exploration, and personal development. She is also the One Act Play Director and Speech Coach, encouraging students to find their voice and build confidence. 📣 Meet the Science Department at Park River Area High School! 🔬✨ At Park River Area High School, we are proud to have an incredible Science Department dedicated to inspiring curiosity and critical thinking in our students! 🌍🔭 👩‍🏫 Mrs. Sara Freeman teaches 7th and 8th grade Science, STEM, and Social Studies and plays a key role in fostering hands-on learning experiences. Each spring, she leads the 8th-grade trip to Wolf Ridge, where students connect with nature, engage in environmental studies, and develop leadership skills. Her passion for science and exploration brings learning to life! 👩‍🏫 Mrs. Nicole Wollangk teaches 9th-12th grade science courses, challenging students to explore the wonders of biology, chemistry, and physics. Beyond the classroom, she is also a dedicated volleyball and speech coach, encouraging students to develop confidence, teamwork, and perseverance.
