4-Year-Old Preschool

The Park River 4-Year-Old Preschool program services students that turn 4 prior to August 1st of that school year. Our preschool program runs two half-day programs Monday-Thursday. The morning program runs from 8:30 - 11:45 and the afternoon program runs from 12:15 - 3:30. Please contact our elementary office to learn more about our preschool program.

Best in Class

The Park River Area School is a 4-time recipient of the North Dakota Best in Class Grant. Best in Class classrooms are committed to delivering the highest quality experiences to the children and families the year before kindergarten. This grant has helped us bring meaningful, play based learning to our preschool classroom. It provides support and training to preschool staff, it supports family engagement, and it provides funds to help  bring developmentally appropriate experiences to our students.

Early Learning Center

The Park River Area Early Learning Center will begin construction in August of 2024. We have an expected completion of the project set for June of 2025 with an opening in August of 2025.

The Park River Area Early Learning Center will house part-day 3-year-old preschool and half-day 4-year-old preschool. In addition, there will be wraparound childcare services provided for these students and their families during the time they are not in preschool.

A Park River Early Learning Center Playground Fund has been created to allow individuals, families, groups, or businesses to donate to the construction of a handicap accessible preschool playground located next to the Park River Area Early Learning Center.
