Congratulations to our high school band and chorus on earning NDHSAA Team Scholar Recognition!

🌟 Senior Spotlight: Alexis R. 🌟
Meet Alexis R., a proud member of the Park River Area School Class of 2025! 🎓✨
📚 Favorite Elementary School Memory: Alexis loved visiting Mr. Moe’s Farm and the excitement of Mrs. Czymbor’s kindergarten class, especially when Sammy and Sid the snakes went missing! 🐍🔍
🏆 High School Highlights:
✨ Favorite Class: Accounting 1-4
🎭 Most Memorable Moment: Placing 3rd at the state one-act play competition and competing at state speech!
🌟 Biggest Inspiration: Miss Ulland
🚀 Looking Ahead: Alexis' advice for freshmen? "Give the opportunities a chance. Try anything and everything. It goes by super fast." She hopes to become a teacher but dreams of being a child life specialist! If her high school experience had a soundtrack, it would feature The Climb by Miley Cyrus 🎵, and before big events, she hypes herself up with her Christian playlist.
She'll miss extracurriculars, the teachers who shaped her, and the electric atmosphere of big games like Homecoming and championships. 🏆🏐
Alexis, we are so proud of you! Wishing you the best in your next chapter! 💫 #Classof2025 #SeniorSpotlight #ParkRiverProud

🌟 Senior Spotlight: Madison Bernhoft 🌟
As we celebrate the Class of 2025, let’s shine a spotlight on Madison Bernhoft, who will be attending North Dakota State University (NDSU) to study Human Resource Management! 💛💚
📚 Favorite Elementary School Memory: Visiting Mr. Moe’s farm and solving the mystery of the missing pet snakes, Sammy and Sid, with Mrs. Coffman! 🐍🔍
🏆 High School Highlights:
✨ Favorite Class: Junior year History with Mr. Hollingsworth
🏐 Most Memorable Moment: Achieving 1,000 assists at regionals—without even realizing she was close to hitting that milestone!
🚀 Looking Ahead: If she could have any superpower, she’d choose teleportation—talk about making it to class (or vacations) in record time! ✨ Madison will miss playing sports with her best friends the most.
Congratulations, Madison! We’re so proud of you and can’t wait to see what the future holds! 🎓💫 #Classof2025 #SeniorSpotlight #NDSUBound

Third graders at PRAS had two amazing guest speakers to bring their human body studies to life!
Katie Skorheim, a Physical Therapist from First Care Health Center, visited to share what her job entails at the hospital, helping patients regain strength and mobility. She brought special tools she uses in her work and even let students test their muscle strength! Her visit impressed upon students that taking care of our bodies is important for people of all ages.
Gerald Byron, a member of the ND Association of the Blind, also visited to share an inspiring story and a special donation. He gifted the class Grandpa’s White Cane, a heartwarming book that helps young readers understand visual impairment and the importance of accessibility. Byron engaged students with stories from his own experiences, encouraging empathy and awareness. His visit left a lasting impression, reminding everyone that challenges can be overcome with resilience and support.
These real-world experiences have added depth to our human body unit, connecting what we’ve learned about the nervous, skeletal, and muscular systems—as well as the eyes and ears—to real-life careers and experiences! 🧠👀🦵 #FirstCareHealth #PhysicalTherapy #HandsOnLearning #PRAS #HumanBodyInAction #InclusionMatters
