March has been a month full of excitement, achievements, and student success at Park River Area School! Here’s a look at what’s been happening:
🏃♂️⚾ Spring Sports Kickoff – Track and baseball teams have hit the ground running with practices in full swing.
🏀 Boys Basketball Season Finale – The season wrapped up with a a hard-fought contest at the Region Tournament in Devils Lake.
📚 Teacher Professional Development – On March 24, our dedicated staff engaged in committee work and Professional Learning Communities to enhance learning experiences.
👨👩👧👦 Parent-Teacher Conferences – Thank you to all the families who attended on March 27—we appreciate your partnership in student success!
🏆 Acalympics Team Shines – Our Varsity Acalympics team took 1st at Regions in Grafton and finished 2nd at the State competition on March 25!
🎶🎤 Almost Spring Concert & Night of the Arts – Students showcased their talents through speech, small-group music performances, and FACS project displays.
🌟 Small Group Music Success – Out of 20 competing groups, 13 earned a Star Performance Award and will advance to the State Music Festival in May!
🎷 NDSA Raging Red Band Festival – PRAS musicians participated in this outstanding event on March 5.
🗣️ Speech Team Success – More students continue to qualify for the State Speech Competition—great work!
✨ "Meet Me at Midnight" PROM ’25 – A night to remember, filled with fun and great memories.
🚤 3rd Grade Field Trip – Students attended Kids Don’t Float to learn about summer safety.
📖 Dr. Seuss & Read Across America – Mrs. Johnson’s first graders celebrated with guest readers, dress-up days, and wrapped up the month with Camp Read-A-Lot!
🏀📚 Kindergarten March Madness Book Brackets – Students voted on their favorite books in a fun, interactive tournament-style competition.
🎮 State eSports Bound! – Congratulations to Serhii P, Andrew Z, and Eric R for qualifying for the State eSports Tournament at UND on March 28-29!
🌱 NDSU Extension Lessons – Katie Thompson from NDSU Extension has been teaching valuable lessons to our 4th and 5th graders.
