🌟 October Highlights: Building a Thriving, Supportive School Community Together! 🌟

October has been an incredible month filled with events and initiatives dedicated to supporting our students, families, and educators. Here's a look at how we’re building a positive school culture, strengthening curriculum, and fostering meaningful connections!


📘 Fall Break PD Day
Our Strategic Plan Committees met, with teachers reviewing student work and data to refine instructional plans. Our elementary teachers joined a virtual meeting, diving into the new resources in their updated English Language Arts curriculum—equipping them for learning success!


🤝 Parent-Teacher Conferences (Oct. 24)
With 93% attendance at elementary conferences and a total of 177 high school meetings, it was incredible to see such active family engagement. The teamwork between parents, students, and teachers helps us all support student growth together!


🌄 4th Grade Field Trip to White Horse Hill
Our 4th graders enjoyed a beautiful day at White Horse Hill, hiking, learning, and having lunch outdoors—connecting with nature and gaining a hands-on appreciation for our environment.


🍎 K-6 Crunch Off
Crunching into locally grown cabbage, apples, and watermelon, our K-6 students took part in the statewide Crunch Off, learning about local produce and healthy eating.


🏀 5th & 6th Grade Boys Basketball Season Begins
Our young athletes are off to a strong start, learning teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.


👩‍🔬 7th Grade Engineering Day
STEM was in full force as our 7th graders tackled exploring engineering jobs in the workforce—Learning how manufacturing and design in built into jobs right here in the Red River Valley.

🔥 Fire Prevention Week
Elementary students participated in Fire Prevention Week with a poster contest. Kindergarten and First graders visited the fire department. Building safety awareness starts young, and our students loved every minute!


📚 Book Fair Success
Thanks to our school and local library, the Book Fair was a hit, bringing a love of reading to students and families alike!


🙏 Custodian Appreciation (Oct. 2)
A big THANK YOU to our custodial team! Their hard work keeps our school safe and welcoming every day. We’re so grateful for all you do!


🏌️‍♀️ Girls Golf at State
Congratulations to our girls’ golf team for representing us proudly at the state tourney! Great job, golfers!


🏐 Volleyball Cancer Night
Our Volleyball Cancer Night raised over $1,500 for an important cause. Thank you to everyone who bought a t-shirt and helped make the fundraiser a success!


🎶 Surround the State in Song
Eleven talented 5th and 6th graders performed in Grand Forks, bringing their musical skills to a statewide event. We’re so proud of their dedication!


🍴 National School Lunch W

eek (Oct. 21-25)
Families joined students for lunch, and our amazing Head Cook Ashley and her team served over 150 extra meals! Thank you, families, for making this week extra special with your smiles and support.


🌆 Sophomore Career Exploration Trip
Our 10th graders headed to Grand Forks to explore career options, helping them envision their futures with purpose and possibility!


🍿 2nd Grade “Meet Your Teacher at the Movies”
The 2nd graders had a special night out watching The Wild Robot. Big thanks to Samson Electric for sponsoring tickets, making this memory possible!


🏃‍♂️ State Cross Country
Drake G represented our school at the State Cross Country competition in Jamestown. Way to go, Drake!
