On Wednesday March 14th, the HS Band and Choir made the trek to Mayville State University for the Regional Large Group Music Festival. Both groups performed very well and enjoyed working with the judges on ways we can still improve! Each group gets rated on a 1-3 scale (1 being the best) with the chance of getting a higher, “Star” (exceptional) rating as well as the Outstanding Performance (OP) of the day distinction. Our HS Band AND Choir received Star ratings and the Choir was also awarded the OP distinction for their performance! We are very proud of these students’ hard work to prepare for the festival!
If you are able, come join us in supporting the Music Department at our “Almost Spring” Concerts happening next week! The 6th grade through JH concert will be Monday, March 20th at 7:30pm, and the HS + Jazz Band will be Tuesday, March 21st at 7:30pm. Hope to see you there!
